Bradford 2025 Launch of the Flowerpot Trail & Community Extravaganza
Sunday 3rd august 12:00pm - 4:30pm
Sue Belcher Centre - Bracken Bank Avenue
As part of the Bradford City of Culture 2025 celebrations, the Sue Belcher Centre is delighted to proudly present a grand and exciting extravaganza on Sunday, the 3rd of August, from 12:00pm to 4:30pm. Join us and be truly amazed by the rich and vibrant melting pot of entertainment and activities that await your enjoyment throughout the afternoon. This fantastic event features a wide array of attractions, including thrilling fairground rides, entertaining racing ferrets, and lively singing and dancing performances that promise to captivate all ages. In addition, you can take advantage of practical offerings such as health checks, bike repairs, axe throwing, and browse various charity stalls, providing something for everyone to enjoy. Don’t forget to savour the delicious homemade refreshments lovingly prepared by Sharon’s Nosh.
Additionally, the much-anticipated Keighley Flowerpot Trail is launching again this year with renewed enthusiasm. The theme for 2025 is the Lion King, adding a creative and family-friendly touch to the trail. Be sure to witness the special unveiling of a large flowerpot lion named Melvin, created in honour of Lions Club International founder Melvin Jones, which will serve as a memorable centrepiece. Use the interactive map provided to explore the diverse locations of all the colourful flowerpots scattered around the area. Some of these flowerpots will have a letter of the alphabet linked to them; if you find them all and arrange the letters correctly to form a specific word or phrase, you stand a chance to win a special prize. Should you believe you have solved the puzzle, please bring your answer to David Weston to claim your well-deserved reward.
